01. Mr. Clive Owen: I’ve had a “thing” for Mr. Owen since forever. But, since his visage appeared on the cover of the September 2006 issue of GQ, I’ve had Owen on the brain. There’s just something about the portrait captured by Nathaniel Goldberg’s lens that fascinates (and melts) me. I can’t seem to let it go to the recycle bin just yet. Scorching.

02. Prada Amber Pour Homme: Two years in the making, this one has quickly become a personal favorite. Comprised of the following notes: bergamot, mandarin, cardamom, labdanum resin, patchouli, tonka bean, vanilla, geranium, vetiver, neroli, nirvanolide, orange blossom, myrrh, saffron, sandalwood and suede–it’s an olfactory orgasm in a bottle. It’s not forcefully masculine and relatively minimalistic in approach for a fougère, yet it’s quite hypnotic and sophisticated.

03. New Music: Add these to your must-listen list. I’ve been stuck on them for over a week now and they just get better with each play.
‘So This Is Goodbye’–Junior Boys

04. ‘Vanished’: Yes, I know the average national viewing audience for this woefully underrated Fox series is approximately 12 households. That said, I have to say it’s been a pretty clever Dan Brown-esque thriller. I have some quibbles with some of the minor plotlines and irritating casting choices, but on the whole it’s a very strong series that deserves an audience. It’s now on hiatus until after the World Series, but if they don’t solve this one before it gets cancelled, I’m going to be fuming. Gale Harold is terrific in his post-QAF role. Eddie Cibrian joined the cast last night….and the last ten minutes literally had my mouth ajar. C’mon people, watch it. Please? It returns October 23rd.

05. Uhm….: So, yeah, there was a number five. But, really, I’d just rather look at Clive again….
